Why do a DBS?

This school was birthed in the desire to see the journey that started in DTS continue in DBS. Our passion is to see Spirit and Truth operating together! Training will occur in the context of community that produces a lifestyle of Christianity. DBS is designed to touch the new generation, by having them engage with Scripture in a dynamic way. Our mission is to see both Word and Spirit blend together to catalyze an inward flame of revival! You will learn techniques for effective Bible study, and a series of guest speakers will help unlock the Bible’s fascinating content. Students continue the discipleship process begun in the DTS by addressing a variety of topics illuminated in the Scriptures, by building godly character, and developing a lifelong hunger for the Word of God. This will be not only accomplished in the classroom, but also outside the classroom through one­ on­ ones, small groups, and evangelism in the community.

We have a heart that every single person that comes here leaves with more understanding of what God has personally called them to, more equipped to walk that out and confident in world changing faith. Ventura is Southern California Beach City… sand, surf, sunsets and casual eateries are a part of the daily scene here. There’s plenty of time to catch some waves or soak in some rays at the beach during your DBS in Ventura! A small beach community on the Pacific with ocean breezes and mild weather make a wonderful place to read and drink deeply in the Word of God. Ventura is a warm a beautiful place to live and encounter God, there is a rich history and a powerful future God has given us here. We are a group of missional believers whose lives have been radically altered by the presence of the living God, and are filled with passion to reach the Nations.
